Testing GeoGA’s user journeys

GoogleUX research

A usability study with internal Google users to assess how the GeoGA documentation supported metrics development and independent analysis.

The challenge

The Geo Analytics team had published an initial set of user journeys. I studied how internal users worked with those journeys and the documentation site to identify what needed to improve.

What I did

Planned the study

I consulted UX experts, clarified the research goals, and developed the research plan.

Conducted usability sessions

I coordinated logistics and participants, then ran the sessions with internal users.

Turned observations into actions

I consolidated the findings and translated them into issues and requests the team could act on.

The outcome

A research report and actionable requests for improving the documentation. The technical writing lead noted that the study’s principles were useful for other Geo projects.
